We know! That’s a long way off. However, the Canadian Capital Cities Organisation, in partnership with Canadian Heritage and Canada’s capitals soon will be asking you (yes, YOU) how you would like to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
Using the latest in social media and some good old face-to-face conversations, someone in your capital will ask you if you would like a new song (remember Gordon Lightfoot’s “Railroad Trilogy” or Bobby Gimby’s “C-A-N-A-D-A”?), new infrastructure (can you imagine a “Sesquicentennial Arts Centre” in your community?), a big block party, or a pan-Canadian goal to reach 34,278,400 acts of green in 2017 – one for every Canadian.
Stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, get thinking!

Have a cross canada walk/run, within their own City. Some system in place where individuals can register and keep record of their cross canada trek.
